freak mode. Their first single is a real handful of beauty. Using a
muse found deep in the woods this collective base their sound on fumbling
lurches of folk-rock drug groove, interspersed with weevilly keyboard
stuff and quite extraordinary, persistent yowling. It reminds me of
some tapes Kendra Smith once gave me of her semi-acoustic tribe up in
Northern California, but it's a lot more Finnish sounding, if you know
